ETL Developer

GE Aviation is one of the largest manufacturers of aircraft engines in the world. GE has shop floors in global

locations to cater services to all the customers of aircraft engines.

A. Data quality of parts and invoices is a critical item for business success and growth at GE Aviation. Goal of

this project is to evaluate for pre and post invoice data in the Sales and Cost Data Warehouse. Data Quality

Scorecards are built that will provide feedback mechanism to shop floor users and managers for evaluation

and developing data correction processes in source systems.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in Technical Design discussions, analyzed requirements and Interacted with data modelers, data

support teams to get the enterprise data for High level specs and an effective data model that was made

consistent/reusable across multiple source systems (Shop floors).

B. Goal of this project is to enhancement and automation of existing MS Access reports utilizing Informatica and

emailing the extracts to the business users on weekly basis. The existing system had cleansed, transformed

and aggregated data coming from shops floors. But there was no automation and the Targets were Flat files

on which dashboards were hard to develop. So ETL Logic was developed to enhance the system according to

the requirements given by functional users to be able to build reports on the data warehouse.
