BIOLOGIST/MICROBIOLOGIST
Versatile experience includes analysis of a variety of foodstuffs including
dairy products,
meat, spices and water for pathogens under FDA and USDA protocols.
Analyses were performed in an environment where the emphasis was on timely
and accurate reporting of results and on the improvement and cost
effectiveness of lab procedures. Some of the methodologies I have used
include rapid methods (BAX and Mini Vidas) as well as traditional BAM
methods. I have identified bacteria that were found in environmental
samples, raw materials and finished products. I have analyzed cosmetic and
OTC products using bacterial limits testing and I have analyzed water using
bioburden and LAL testing.
