Clinic for a FNP. I plan to specialize
in the field of oncology, which deals with a lot of mental
health issues; but providing overall patient
care is my goal. I have strong commitment to improving health
care, providing quality patient care, working with families and
an outstanding health care team.
I have 18 years of management experience. I have worked at Grady
Memorial Hospital as a RN
in the oncology division; own and operate my own business, as
well as the management skills listed
below. I have worked as a Care Plan Manager for the Sun
organization as a LPN; as well as worked
on the floor when needed and served as a floor manager when call
upon to do so. As a Care Plan Manager, I was in charge of
submitting 236 care plans to the State of Georgia for approval.
I'm currently still working for the Sun/Genesis organization as
a RN Supervisor working with Dementia
and Alzheimer's patients. During my time in the U. S. Army, I
had a chance to manage a fine group
of 10 people, organize activities, and work in different areas
of care. As lead certified nursing assistant, my job was to make
sure that all the work of the other aids got done; report any
noted problems, and keep account of where the nursing aids were
at all times. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I'm currently with
CVS Minute Clinic. Operating my own clinic daily, managing
patients, and prescribing needed medication daily. I also
consult at South Atlanta Urgent Care when needed. During my FNP
rotation, I had a change to work with a wonderful staff of
doctors while learning the concept of total patient care.
