Profile Nature of work:
• Perform assessment of potential new suppliers(ODA) identified by the Purchasing Dept.
• Perform process control plan audits of existing and new suppliers (PCPA)
• Define Suppliers with specific improvement plans based on the audit findings & current supplies.
• Take the First part Approval (ISIR) & provide the master & limit sample for new product to supplier.
• To develop Products & Process at supplier end with Correct Preparation of PPAP & Zero defects.
• Use of PPAP & APQP methodology, Process flow diagram, Process FMEA & Control Plan for

• Single point contact to supplier and ensure that Customer specific requirements and design parameters ar
correctly ensured and understood by Supplier.
• Knowledge of Supplier Quality & Process Improvements, regularly visiting Suppliers & Problem Solving
at Supplier end with 8D methodology.
• Management of crisis situations at the Supplier site.
• Updating & evaluating the Supplier data for quality evaluation.

Metallurgy:
• Perform Steel Mill Assessment Audits of potential Steel suppliers identified by the Purchasing Dept.
• Perform Metallurgical Process Audits at Suppliers Forging & Heat Treatment facilities & Sub Suppliers.
• Inspection of all Metallurgy Related Parameters for Casting, Forging, H.T. Components of Gears &
Fasteners.

This project was undertaken to set up a Quality system in Induction Hardening cell thereby reducing the
scrap percentage from 2.5% to 0.5%. This has resulted in cost savings of Rs.35000 per month.
“Polymer Quenchant Life Improvement”
Through this project work, life of Polymer Quenchant is increased by 20% hence, improving the bath life
and reducing the procurement cost. Cost savings of Rs.4, 80,000 per year achieved.
