• Organized team to analyze the financial position, short- and long-term outlooks and financial operations of the City of Garland
based on its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, composed a 3-page summary report to present our findings, and proposed
to establish food processing business in Garland.
• Evaluated the performance of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Inc. through the analysis of fundraising ratios, program ratios,
compensation policy and governance practice, and produced a 3-page summary report to present the evaluation.
Financial Statement Analysis May 2012 – Aug. 2012
• Assessed five IT companies (HP/Dell/Apple/Google/Microsoft) performance by excel modeling and proposed investment
strategies:
o Analyzed their common size income statements, ROA, ROCE and net-income-to-revenue ratio.
o Evaluated corporate risks by looking at different ratios, bankruptcy probability, and earnings manipulation probability.
o Forecasted performance under four growth scenarios and compared forecasted ratios with actual ratios.
o Provided different recommendations for short- and long-term investments by applying dividend based valuation model
for stock pricing trend.
Auditing Jan. 2012 – May 2012
• Initiated the project of auditing inventory account of Sketcher’s USA, Inc. with three teammates:
o Researched industry and company background and assessed risks to come out with audit plan.
o Designed audit procedures and analyzed financial statements.
o Compiled a 14-paper audit report with an unqualified opinion on the inventory account.
