EXPERIENCE

Senior Manager of operations Boeing 787 program 4/2011-1/2013

My responsibilities included being in charge of rate readiness ramping up from 2

aircrafts a month to 12 a month, while reducing head count. Also, preparation for mixed

production lines from a 787-8 to a 787-9 including tooling and parts. I was as well in

charge of quality, cost, 6s, scheduling for 47/48 sections, floor grids, door surrounds, and

feeder lines. In charge of factory of the future changes in order to meet even higher rates

and increase production lines.

Boeing Supplier Program Manager Team GKN 6/2009-4/2011

My responsibilities where to coordinate weekly program meetings to track

performance, part status, corrective action plans and contractual issues. Including

managing C-17 Program with the largest statement of work at GKN with over 6 million

dollars a ship set. Also, I supported the Lean Kitting (Kanban) process for Saint Louis,

Long Beach, and Macon on conveyances and pull systems. I worked with GKN

Management to develop strategies for TPS, long-term modernization of machines and

tooling to reduce cost and allow for better performance predictability.

Boeing Supplier Program Manager FCS 11/2008-6/2009

My responsibilities as the lead Systems Integrator for the US Army was to

coordinate with on-site Supplier Managers at the One Team Partners of GDLS and BAE

facilities to monitor, report and improve as necessary technical, quality, cost and

scheduling performance. Provide assistance to OTP’s with the development and

execution of corrective action plans when development or performance issues occur.

Conducted Deep Dive at GDLS with BAE-AS & GS to understand specific LSI metric

and expectations.

Conducting discussions with all levels of OTP personal and management. Led

negotiations with the MGV Enterprise on a surveillance plan for SPI involving

Production, Supplier Management and Quality. Supporting the proposal analysis and

evaluation process to ensure a thorough and objective analysis and best value acquisition.

Led an analysis cost team on the U3 proposal to eliminate several million dollars of

duplication. Developed metrics for OTP’s and Boeing to integrate common high

performing suppliers from industry base to ensure MGV success

Boeing Supplier Program Manager GP 4/2007-11/2008

My responsibilities included managing assigned suppliers in quality, delivery and

cost initiatives, and learn events at Suppliers as well as capacity issues. Improved 5

suppliers 6% in Delivery and 3% in Quality in 2008. Lead 3 lean assessments at suppliers

in 2008.

I was the Lead focal in General Procurement for lean events. 6 internal events completed

in 08 and support GP VSM activities for 9 sites, working towards common systems and

identifying and eliminating waste.

I also established predictive indicators for GP suppliers to track capacity and program

needed support issues for both IDS and BCA. Trained supplier personnel in accessing the

BEST System, understanding of CBO and updating SDF. I managed technical process

and interaction within GP for assigned suppliers, put status reviews in place, scheduled

FAI’s, and answered supplier information request (SIR). Supply chain strategies, where to

place work, make/buy decisions as well as bidders board on work packages and helped

develop bid packages for F-18 Rutter Assembly.

Supplier Program Manager Boeing V22 10/2005-4/2007

I directed sub contract lean activities on the V-22 Program through a documented

12 step Best Practice program in addition to supervising the engineering improvement

process for 9 suppliers ranging from windshields to wire bundles to black boxes to reduce

cost and lead times and reduced supply chain costs and lead times, reduced over

$250,000 and more than 15 weeks of lead-time through lean events. I was the trainer for

Boeing personnel in Value Stream Mapping. Lean modules and Best Practices through

the Boeing AIW Leadership training.

Boeing Assembly Manager 8/1998-10/2005

I managed the daily operation of assembly work for the Forward and AFT

Fuselage of F-15 Program to insure CPI and SPI were used to insure deliveries and cost

targets were met while Supervising 65 employees in 9 departments that had costs of more

than 10 million dollars. I met or exceeded program goals and objectives on F-15

Program by reducing hours and improving on schedule conditions on each ship set. I

successfully reduced job classifications from 4 to 1, which improved efficiency, and

standardized work and eliminated waste through Lean implementation. I developed team

relationships and training techniques to ensure success by improving the operating

effectiveness of the Eagle-09 HPWO team, I Trained new production managers in basic

floor operations through coaching and hands on experience and managed customer

relations domestically with the U.S. Air Force and internationally with The Republic of

Korea.

Boeing Assembly Worker (SMAR) 5/1986-8/1998

I was the lead worker in charge of 18 people and the cost of Forward Fuselage,

daily job assignments, EO changes, drawing updates, and engineering contacts. I was also

elected Union Shop Steward supporting 103 CBU’s, negotiating contract issues,

discipline issues, and supporting Directing Business Representatives.
