necessary skills for the job. I have vast experience in all types,
phases, and disciplines of the construction trades. In my 30 years of
construction experience, I have worn many hats - from journeymen plumber
to shop owner and general contractor of both large and small projects.
I have strong problem solving skills. I am very good at thinking outside
the box to find workable solutions. (No problems, just solutions!) I have
the ability to see the whole project and where we are in it. I am good at
looking forward to see potential conflicts and head them off before they
become problems.
I am good at communicating with others on the job; letting them know where
we are and where we are going. I have the ability to understand scope and
make sure extras are tracked.
I have a strong consideration for safety issues and understand how they
play into the whole job.
I know the importance of getting the project done on time and under
budget. I have also come to know this only happens when it is a team
effort. Making it a team effort starts at the top. This makes the whole
project go better and smoother for all.
