ACADEMIC PROJECT:

Title: Design and development of inspection system for valve casting using Digital

Radiography Approach.

Objective: To design and develop a system which helps an object to move in all three

directions. This movement helps object to move in between source and detector.

Introduction: The Non destructive testing (NDT) is a technique in which an object is

tested without any physical impact forces. The quality of an object is inspected by

scanning it with the help of high intensity rays passing through it. The image of scanned

body is displayed on detector which is designed to capture intense rays and create a fine

image with the help of high numbers of pixel. Since the images are fine and of good

quality, the minor defects are also easy to point out with the help of this system.

The purpose of our project is to design and develop a system which helps an object to

travel in between source and detector with which the internal defects can easily inspected

and hence the quality of the product improved.

Summary: The need of this project is to save time as well as cost related to the inspection

system for valve castings. We developed this system which will help an industry to save

time and money by using it over conventional system. This system is efficient to detect

internal defects too. So the quality of product is also improved.

SEMINAR:

Title: How Roller Coaster works?

In this seminar report I have explained that how Engineering applications are now a day used in

the Amusement World. The Roller Coaster is of four dimensions so that it can rotate and run

safely on tracks designed with respect to the principal of change of energy Kinetic Energy and

Potential Energy.

The various parts such as Chain drive, Diesel engine, Structural engineering, the change of

energy and Wheel lock system are responsible to make the train to run safely on tracks.
