Kenton Group - OSP Design Engineering Michigan - Ohio 3/1/13 – 6/1/13

Assist Century Link Telecom Co. Provide services consisting of engineering fiber cable to AT&T Cell sites. Survey Cell site equipment type, location and provide the data to place and interface new equipment within the existing facilities. Provide OSP construction requirements and cad drawings for fiber placing from existing fiber points to the site(s). This project required site visits, customer liaison, permitting and follow up with all clients and agencies involved.

Killion Communications - OSP Design Engineering Roodhouse, IL 3/2011 – 12/2011

Assist Century Link Telecom with implementation of IPTV telecom technologies.

Provide engineering services consisting of design and modification and conversion of existing telephone plant to accept current DSL technology in the RSU environment.

Evaluate existing telephone plant to determine the type, location and loop length data to modify the existing telephone facilities using Century link systems for Fireworks, Bidmaster, Martens, EWO and Mapviewer.

Kenton Group - Transmission Design Engineering Battle Creek, Michigan 7/2010 – 1/2011

Assist Frontier /Verizon Telecom Co. in implementation of DSL telecom technologies.

Provide engineering services consisting of audits and surveys for central office (CO) and remote terminal RT) site equipment including site (osp) upgrades in MI, WI, IL, and OH.

Evaluate existing equipment within the CO and RT site. Determine the equipment type, location and

provide the data to place and interface new equipment within the existing telephone facilities. Provide OSP construction requirements and cad drawings for RT site upgrades and provisioning.

This project required familiarization and working knowledge of CO and RT equipment to include Adtran TA-500 DSLAM (and TA-5000 Aggregator) units, Adtran TA1248A host/client units, BTI 7000 Series optical network equipment and Actelis Networks - ML 2300 - CXR Ethernet over copper systems.

Paradigm Designs - OSP Engineering/Right of Way King City and Monterey CA 2008 - 2010

Provide engineering consulting services for private sector Agri-Business and residential customers.

Resolve utility customer conflicts or complaints regarding easement and right of way issues including utility permitting and coordination with Union Pacific RR for irrigation crossing and fiber avoidance issues.

First point of contact for MasTec Inc. and Comcast Cable TV in San Jose, CA.

Permit coordinator for aerial and underground utility rebuild based on customer needs.

Scheduled and tracked as many as 220 utility project permits for orderly field construction .

Responsible for utility permit acquisitions, construction issues and job adjustment s. Actively pursued State, City and County agencies for permit approval on behalf of Comcast Cable .

Millennium Design Inc. - Telecomm Operations Manager San Jose, CA 2000 - 2003

Established Telecommunications team for utility provisioning and expansion of the bid and contract

capability of Millennium Design.

Developed invoicing procedures and forms for new client contracts.

Provide and supervise documents and procedures for telephone facilities installation

Supervise the engineering team’s timely execution of critical projects.

Train drafters on construction notes and procedures relating to conduit and cable entrance facilities for multiple dwelling units, condominiums and small business strip mall projects.

Point person for Millennium Design with AT&T, Verizon, Pacific Gas & Electric and Comcast Cable TV for project coordination with various design teams, private developers and construction managers in the San Francisco Bay area.

Northstar Telecom Inc. - Senior Project Engineer San Jose, California 1998 - 2000

Managed exclusive projects and served customers for Pacific Bell/AT&T, including 3-COM, THE GAP,

APPLIED MATERIALS, CISCO SYSTEMS under BICSI engineering guidelines. Provided engineering

services for campus facility relocations and expansion based on customer demand.

Arrange and coordinate projects for copper/fiber optic cable provisioning and implementation.

Utilize Lightspan 2000 DigitalTelephone Equipment served by aerial and underground facilities to meet customer needs. This included design and placement of underground CEV.’s (Controlled Environment Vaults) equipped with various forms of digital telephone systems, associated conduit, cable and power requirements in an underground environment.

Tesinc - Senior project Engineer / OSP Los Gatos, California 1993 - 1998

Outside plant engineer (OSP) assigned to telephone facility provisioning for growth in the San Francisco bay area for GTE/Verizon Telephone.

Design and implement copper and fiber optic cable work orders for both business and residence. Tracked right of ways, easements and permits for telephone and power requirements.

Distribution fiber provisioning, fiber optic cable implementation, utilizing SLC-5 and Lightspan 2000 digital telephone equipment served by aerial and underground facilities.

Main Communication Inc. - Project Engineer / OSP Los Gatos, CA 1987 - 1993

Member of Engineering Administrators Staff involved with 5 year plans and budgets, forecast work order scheduling, material requirements and construction coordination for GTE/Verizon.

Assigned to a 3 year ($117M) California Department of Transportation Project (caltrans) involving major telephone facilities relocation project for state Hwy. 85/17 corridor. Responsible for planning, design and administration of telephone work orders for this project.
