Summary of Experience: I have a background in a variety of office settings such as medical, dental, steel as well as the transportation industry.
Office Manager: Set up a new dental office,data entry,answering phones, appointments, typing, filing, billing, filing of insurance, a/p and a/r and collections.
Sending out patient recalls, contacting insurance companies for verification eligibility and payments. Ordering supplies, writing checks for the doctor for
office and personal expenses, and day to day balancing of money and ledgers
along with balancing of day sheetsfrom the days entries into the computer.
Maintaining that the office was at all times running swiftly daily in all areas.
Phlebotomist: Drawing of blood in the hospital and outpatient area, laboratory,
patients in the emergency room, consisting of infants, children, and also geriatric patients in a long term care facility. Charting, answering phones, labeling all tubes properly and spinning down blood samples and separating into appropriately labeled vials. Also having all paperwork correctly filled out and all corresponding information logged in on the computer.
Receptionist: Answering phones, scheduling appointments, data entry, filing, faxing, typing and all general office duties. Assisting the owner with any and all facets of maintaining the daily functioning of the office.
Laboratory: Drawing blood, strep screens, UCG, UA, mono spots, and actual running of cbc blood tests on a Cell Dyn 610 machine. I was also responsible
to have all the proper paperwork and log books entered accurately and also
entered into the computer.
Medical Assistant: Drawing blood, placing patients into exam rooms, vitals, charting, patient history, and setting up for procedures as well as breaking down and cleaning rooms. Also running EKG, PFT, Holtor Monitors, injections, and drug screen collections. Assisting doctors with procedures, calling in prescriptions and filing charts and data entry.
Truck Dispatcher: Dispatching of drivers and trucks,answering phones taking truck and load orders, billing general clerical work, drivers daily logs, filing and
going over the orders taken for future trucks with the owner.
Maintaining drivers personnel files and verifying licenses and keeping
all records for trucks and drivers compliant with DOT regulations.
Certified Drug Collector/Certified Breath Alcohol Technician:
Collection of all the specimens ordered for testing as well as administering the actual breath alcohol test. Processing and maintaining all paperwork and files for DOT compliance as well as the MRO paperwork. I also made outside sales to establish new clients.
