BACKGROUND SUMMARY
Over twelve years of increasing experience starting as a Product
Launch Engineer for Ford, to implementing QS-9000 at Denso's first Fuel
Injector Plant outside of Japan. This experience allowed me to work as a
Manufacturing Engineer overseeing the Assembly lines and Engine test cells
at GM's Romulus Engine plant and to finally be a Project Superintendent on
a 300 Million Dollar Engine installation for Saturn on the L850 (ECOTEC)
engine. The last seven years I have focused on Product Design and
Development, developing mobile industrial cranes in Autodesk Inventor,
developing a 4000 HP hammer mill for shredding compacted cars and finally
designing nuclear components for Honeywell FM&T.
MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
. Project Lead in Purchased Product Engineering for Nuclear components
at Honeywell FM&T. DOE/NNSA Top Secret Security Clearance.
. Saturn Project Superintendent in charge of installation and debugging
of all automation equipment for Ecotec engine. Superintendent of team
of Engineers and fifty skilled tradesmen for installation of machining
and automation equipment ($300 Million). Continuous improvement of
automation to reduce cycle time and achieve 1500 engines/ day at
Saturn.
. Manufacturing Engineer over engine test equipment and assembly lines
at GM - Romulus facility - 20,000 engines/week (50 % of GM's V-8
Production). Reduced TAKT time from 22.5 s to 21s /engine.
. Maintained a 1.5 M-dollar annual quality assurance budget with a 150 K
cost savings.
. Implemented automation that yielded savings of $800k/yr. and achieved
goal of 20,000 engines/week.
. Project Administrator over ten people for AutoCAD Inventor 3D .
. Designed and developed 72"X 104" Hammer mill for shredding scrap autos
into scrap steel using Inventor 3D. Performed Project Management on
project and oversaw manufacture of Mill.
. Structural Design, test and build of new booms, hydraulic control
valves, rated capacity limiters.
. Senior Project Engineer in charge of all related calculations for
stress, tipping, load-moments, safety factors, buckling on Mobile
Industrial Cranes utilizing ANSI B30.5 standards. Designed new boom
for IC-40 crane that increased boom reach from 19' to 25' and max load
from 9000 to 10,000#.
. Evaluated all cold test data at GM Romulus engine plant to determine
quality of V-8 engines.
. Specified all reliability equipment necessary for endurance testing of
Denso fuel injectors for
PPAP package PSW to Ford.
