Summary of Qualifications
** + years as an electrician: In my first five years, I was very fortunate
to have attended a well-rounded apprenticeship. I became a foreman for
Gibson Electric upon completion of my apprenticeship. I've had the great
opportunity of running work with many different types of electrical
contractors.
Residential, Commercial, and Industrial: Lighting and lighting controls,
Power systems, Tele-communications, Fire Alarm Systems, HVAC Temperature
controls, Motor controls, Audio/Visual sound systems, and Security systems.
I posses excellent communication skills, with owners, upper management,
vendors, general contractors, other trades, municipality inspectors, and
manpower.
Demonstrated effective leadership by applied team concepts such as: "Lean
Construction methods" minimizing labor, increasing productivity, meeting
goals and objectives, staying goal orientated, and getting the job done in
a timely and workmanship like manner and frequently under budget.
Proficient at sales and assessing the needs of clients and businesses.
Successfully estimated, presented, negotiated, and closed on good sales of
materials and labor.
Networking/Prospecting: Past, present and future clients; Coordination and
presentation of sales meetings with potential customers.
Proficient at drafting and CAD.
I Posses great problem solving skills. There is a solution that fits all
needs.
Accomplishments
Most recently I have been focusing on high tech energy and lighting. LED
and CFL lighting solutions. Giving businesses the greatest amount of light
output for the least amount of energy input. This is saving people energy
and money right away and in the long run. This is also giving the customer
greater light output to sell more product. Simply amazing!
Gainfully gathered other contracts with the Signature Group. They are in
charge of the operations of The Chicago Executive Airport and many other
airports also. This involved maintenance of all electrical at the airport
from the hangers to the runway lighting, Generators to high efficiency
lighting.
The construction of a multimillion dollar executive airport hanger at the
Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling Illinois. I took pride in building
this hanger as any job that I complete. The owner of Cancer Treatment
Centers of America, Mr. Dick Stevenson, is a very precise man and expects
nothing but the finest in craftsmanship. I personally had the opportunity
to meet with him one on one at the end of the project. Mr. Stevenson was
very pleased with the final completed product. I was very pleased to have
had the chance to build, what I have been told by many, is the nicest and
priciest hanger in America.
Took leadership for Becker electrical group on the Waukegan Aviation
Corporate Facilities "Ramp expansion and fuel farm replacement project" At
the Waukegan Airport. Over saw the project and recognized the over-sights
missed in the original bid which I researched, estimated and wrote up job
extras for. This stopped Becker Electrical Group from loosing a substantial
amount of money.
I took leadership with Becker Electrical Group in building two new
buildings and continuing to maintain the entire Sedgebrook retirement
community in Lincolnshire Il.
Successfully reverse designed a projector booth scenario. This involved
theatre lighting controls, MTX audio controls, Dimming panels, and
projector controls. I presented my design, built the prototype, and sold
the design to Century Park Theaters. They built their new drawings off of
this design.
Travelled North America with RPG electric. I was involved in three
substantial upgrades for Baxter/ Allegiance/ Cardinal Health Care. The
first project was called "The Apollo Project" this involved upgrading the
entire Wan (Wide area network) system from 4 Mb to 16 Mb. We disassembled
and reconstructed the entire infrastructure. We upgraded everything from
the computer room to each and every workstation, We installed clean IG
(isolated ground) power, Liebert UPS battery systems, fiber optics, type 1
cable, and cat 5E and cat 6 cabling. All of this was done in a two to three
week window.
The second tour was called AIMS (Allegiance inventory management system)
which involved installing on board computers on their fork-trucks, along
with wireless transponders and receivers which implemented a new barcode
system for more efficient product management.
The final tour throughout The U.S. Was building a robotics packaging line
to send rush orders out overnight to hospitals. This is a very sate of the
art process.
I Took leadership with Inland electric in building Sunrise Assisted Care in
Buffalo Grove from the start to the finish. This is a great senior living
facility.
