Project work done for a period of two months from DABUR PHARMA, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad; U.P.

entitled “Analysis of various optically active compounds and their optical activity” under the supervision

of Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Analytical II & Metabolic Lab.

The main points of study during the project were to determine Optical activity of different enantiomers of

the compounds and to study Optical rotation, Specific rotation and Angular rotation of compounds like

Meglumine, Sucrose, etc. using Polarimeter (Autopol IV and Autopol V).And worked on HPLC and Gas

Chromatography.
