Provides technical support to the Department of Energy (DOE) under the environmental and remediation
services contract for the Nevada Test Site and Tonopah Test Range as a subcontractor to Navarro-Intera, LLC.
Responsibilities include conducting presentations for the DOE and Nevada Department of Environmental
Protection, writing and reviewing work plans and data reports, and managing field activities for multiple
projects. Also provides technical support for drilling, installing, developing, and sampling wells with depths
ranging between 800 and 3,000 feet below ground surface under the Underground Testing project.
Environmental Scientist (9/1990 to 4/2004): Science Applications International Corporation, Reston, VA
Conducted compliance inspections and pollution prevention assessments at U.S. Army and Army
Reserves, U.S. Navy, Air National Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, and Department of Justice facilities.
Compliance audits involved conducting site visits, reviewing records and reporting documentation, and
interviewing personnel at the facilities to identify violations of the CAA, SDWA, CWA, RCRA (Sections
C, D, and I), TSCA, and ESA regulations and provide recommendations for correcting deficiencies.
Project Manager for the Gunston Cove site investigation at Fort Belvoir. Duties included managing the
budget, schedule, project and field personnel, and preparation and production of project deliverables. In
addition to project management duties, supervised all aspects of the field investigation as the Field
Manager and Health and Safety Officer.
Deputy Project Manager of a 1-million dollar fixed priced contract for the National Guard Bureau.
Responsibilities included assisting the Project Manager with administrative duties, conducting
pollution prevention assessments, writing reports, and supervising the completion and timely
submission of project deliverables.
Field Operations/Health and Safety Manager for a 3.4 million dollar remedial investigation/feasibility
study. Responsibilities included supervising, scheduling, and coordinating field activities for a field
crew that varied in size from 3 to 31 personnel from four different agencies/subcontractors. Duties
included supervising drilling, sampling, unexploded ordnance and chemical warfare agent screening,
geophysical surveying, monitoring well installation, and waste management activities.
