OBJECTIVE
Seeking full time employment to utilize my experience and training to the utmost benefit of my employer
with over 20 years’ experience as a MILLWRIGHT/, (both precision and general), OUTSIDE
MACHINIST/WELDER/RIGGER.
SKILLS
Experience as an industrial millwright (both general and precision), with several years in supervision.
Experience with working with steel and other materials in order to successfully fabricate industrial
machinery or to assemble machines from pre-fabricated parts. Able to read blueprints and other
schematics to aid in the construction of complex systems. Working knowledge of driveshafts, bearings,
gearing and mechanical belts . Maintain and construct industrial machinery for assembly lines, pumping
stations and other utilities, print shops, Steel Mills, Oil Refineries,, Mining, Power Stations, and other
industries employing fixed heavy machinery. Responsible for the unassembled equipment when it arrives
at the job site. Using hoisting and moving equipment to position the pieces that need to be assembled.
Thorough knowledge of the load-bearing capabilities of the equipment they use as well as an
understanding of blueprints and technical instructions. Rigging, Strong Leadership skills. Strong team
player. Self-motivated. Excel and adapt quickly to new tasks and excel at problem solving skills. Training
in time management thru past employers. Served in the USN 1978 - 1986 as an MM2. Worked at
Avondale Shipyard. Also worked at SIMA, Charleston, SC as an Outside Machinist. Can weld carbon and
steel. Welding/fabrication. Valve maintenance, repairs, and installation. Fabricate, build, and install:
catwalks/elevators/conveyors/handrails/gearboxes/boiler/ pumps/duct work, etc. have worked at bio-
diesel plants/ethanol plants/sugar refineries/syn. oil refineries/steel mills/grain
elevators/packinghouses/liquid fertilizer plants/cheese factories and paper mills. I work long term projects
and also turn around shut downs.
