My position was the Executive Housekeeper in charge of all housekeeping,
laundry and the public areas. The housekeeping department consistently
scored high marks on all inspections. I had a very dedicated staff, and we
worked long hours during the economic recession, despite severe cutbacks in
staffing and supplies, and I became very adept at getting the job done
well, with limited resources, by working long hours, and weekends.
I left this position because of an emergency family situation with my
oldest daughter who resides at a US military base in Germany, where I
stayed with her for almost two months.

and laundry employees. I was the opening executive housekeeper for this
new property. This property had consistently received awards and praise
for its level of cleanliness. Because of the hotel's low occupancy, my
working hours were limited to less than 30 hours a week, and now that my
daughter was in school and day-care, I sought a full time better paying
position with Holiday Inn near UCF.

room hotel. While there, the hotel has set up its first computer system

a very competitive market for room attendants and I was heavily involved in
training because of turn-overs and new hires.
