Additional Professional Activities:
Sales Training Manager; AMP Incorporated, 1984 to 1989. I created,
staffed, instructed in and managed a newly formed selling skills curriculum
for the AMP internal Sales and Product Training - AMP Institute. I became
certified in and facilitated the sales and management training seminars
curriculum developed both internally and in cooperation with the Forum
Corporation, Boston, MA. Once established and verified as having value we
adapted the US training modules and basic curriculum for use in our
European and Far Eastern Markets.
Project Manager, AMP Global Technology, 1994 to 1997. I guided the
transition of several acquisition companies into the corporation, helping
these companies develop synergy with the parent corporation. Last project
before retirement in 1997 was to manage the development project, co-
sponsored by Ford Motor Company, to develop for the market the system of
backup sensors we now see on many vehicles. This project was the amalgam of
many of the technologies AMP had acquired over the past few years.
Community Activities:
Active in the Harrisburg, PA area communities in the areas of local
government, children's sports, school board advisory capacity, cultural
exchange programs and student exchange programs.
Volunteer Experience: United Way of Central PA, Leukemia Society of
Central PA, American Cancer Society of Central PA, Harrisburg Community
Theater, Harrisburg Bicycle Club and on project specific activities with
several of the United Way member agencies. Since moving to Arizona I have
worked as a volunteer for the Senior Olympics and participated in multiple
fund raising bicycle rides for the benefit of cancer research and
children's welfare.
