Accomplishments:
. As new Director, assumed responsibility for completion of the
implementation of new 64-slice CT scanner; project was completed on

Also moved Department to a 24-hour staffing model thus nearly
eliminating the majority of call and overtime in this area of the
department, reducing overtime costs by approximately 40%.

. The imaging department was drastically behind in the acquisition of up-
to-date/technologically advanced imaging equipment; researched,
selected and oversaw installation of the above-listed equipment which
provided approximately 20% more patient scheduling capacity, met badly
needed patient privacy and patient safety improvements and provided
more services and generated more departmental revenue.
. Brought in nursing services which provided a new service line and
income for the department; this also added to the quality and safety
in the department as the new RN placed 250 PICC lines for patients in
2010 with a 0.00% infection/complication rate.
. Addressed poor patient and staff satisfaction scores in the department
resulting in our overall average increasing from good to very good
with even more patients rating our service as excellent; staff
satisfaction scores increased an average of over 20 points from one
rating period to the next and staff became more engaged and showed
more commitment to providing the highest quality service possible.
. Successfully passed Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and
