Manager, MIS Portfolio Management
Responsible for providing project portfolio management (PPM) oversight for
all MIS projects using Planview EPM/PPM software to show total project cost
(internal labor/external spend) and 3 year financial benefit to CIO, CFO
and Senior VP's. Maintain project pipeline to enable senior management to
determine status of all projects in the portfolio. Secure agreement on
deadlines, resource commitment and deliverables using KPI metrics. Actively
initiate and continue project review meetings, assertively motivate project
participants to execute projects to agreed levels of quality, deliverables
and duration. Coach and mentor all project managers.
Major Contributions:
. Project Portfolio Management System: Incorporated Enterprise & Project
Portfolio Management via Planview into the ITIL/ITSM v3 framework
methodology. This resulted in a 25% improvement in solutions delivery and
a 10% cost reduction opportunities of expense budget.
. Project Governance: Established Portfolio Management process that
delivered over 50% more projects from previous year.
. Organizational Project Maturity: Project Managed the MIS implementation
of the Theory of Constraints Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM)
process and methodology using the Concerto Execution Management Software
by Realization.
. Project Delivery: SAP ERP 6.0 PMO Manager (2 full lifecycle projects -
Phase 1 & 2). Responsible for providing overall PMO and resource
management to the project teams (functional and technical) to deliver the

Major Contributions:
. Project Governance: Created and implemented a Release Management Strategy
for a clients B2C e-commerce website which totaled $26 million in sales

. Project Delivery: Served an instrumental role in transitioning a new e-
commerce website (with Web 2.0 technology) to production which helped a
clients business improve their operating income by 60% from the previous

Director of Project Management, Information Services
This was a dual role position (managing actual projects and leading the
PMO) Reporting directly to the CIO. Managing a team of 10 Project Managers
and Project Support Staff. Responsible for organizing project methodology,
developing project tool kit (i.e. policies, procedures, guidelines,
templates, reporting mechanisms) and continually expanding the selection of
training, tools and processes to guide successful project implementation.
Also, played a significant role in strategic alignment of portfolio of
priorities through proper project selection processes across the
organization.
Major Contributions:
. Project Delivery: Managed a cross-functional team and external vendor
Kintera to design and deploy an online Fundraising Campaign called
"Friends asking Friends" to respond to Hurricane Katrina/Rita disaster in
the Gulf Coast region. This application generated over $125K in online
donations in the first three (3) months after launch.
. Project Delivery: Project Manager to deliver a new automated optical
character recognition (OCR) turn-key system capable of handling donation
cards and personal checks which were scanned and electronically deposited
into the bank. Knowledge of Check 21 procedures, ACH payment and
transaction processing were critical to this project. Project also
included vendor selection between WAUSAU and Fairfax Imaging. Reduced
labor cost by 50%.
. Project Delivery: Led a global technical team to design and implement an
International IP / VPN WAN (changed from slow and expensive frame relay
circuits to high speed IP / VPN circuits while lowering month to month
costs on circuits $15K a year savings). International VoIP network
included locations in Costa Rica, Thailand and Singapore
THE PROCTER AND GAMBLE COMPANY, Cincinnati, OH ? 2000 - 2005
Project Management Global Competency Leader, P&G PMO
Provided leadership in building and maintaining project management
capability within the P&G IT organization's 2400 global employees. Project
Management liaison within P&G's PMO with outsourcing vendors HP and IBM to
ensure project management processes and procedures compliance.
Major Contributions:
. Project Delivery: Served as an internal project management consultant to
a cross-functional team assigned to deliver one of the first online
marketing campaigns for P&G (www.homemadesimple.com ). This site created
brand awareness to several $1 Billion Brands in the Fabric and Home Care
Global Business Unit.
. Project Delivery: Integration Project Manager for the SAP R/3 ERP
implementation in the new Iams manufacturing facility in Pilar,
Argentina. Delivered system on time which allowed the plant to produce
for the entire Latin American region. This generated enough revenue in
the first 6 month to push the Iams Brand into the P&G $1 Billion Brand
Club.
