Over my career, I have successfully developed a broad range of skills and qualifications that have given me a
thorough understanding of all levels and disciplines in project operations:
Environment, Safety and Health
I am familiar with OSHA and EPA requirements for general industry and construction work. I understand the
risk implications and costs associated with programmatic policy and administrative controls and how to
effectively manage them. I am familiar with ISM concepts and practices.
Quality Assurance
I have been trained in formal incident investigation techniques. I have participated in and conducted numerous
causal analysis efforts aimed at finding permanent solutions to quality/compliance issues.
Project Management/Control
I understand the importance of long and short term plans. I know how to develop realistic, safety-focused work
plans and schedules involving multiple work groups to accomplish major projects and day-to-day operations.
Operations
I have proven experience with the oversight of goal oriented operations that achieve targeted results. I know
how to increase employee performance and have trained many directors, managers how to achieve goals that
lead to a synergistic result across the broader organization.

I understand and have experience with P&L for a facility generating in excess of $200M in annual revenues, I
know how to carefully manage business financials and how to incorporate sales forecasting and goals into
business operational realities such as cash flow management, capital expenditures, staffing, and maintenance.

Work H istory
2/04 to 9/12 EnergySolutions Salt Lake City, Utah
Vice President, Clive Site: responsible for all aspects of site (up to 500 employees) operation including P&L
for $200M budget. I had direct oversight of disposal operations, logistics (including shipping, receiving) and
DOT compliance, RCRA compliance, NQA-1 compliance, engineering and construction, facility maintenance,
internal assessments and compliance audits. I developed a safety/compliance focused culture with emphasis on
self-identification of issues and corrective actions. Under my direction, this highly labor intensive operation
achieved 3.5 million worker hours without an OSHA Lost Time incident.
6/01 to 2/04 EnergySolutions Salt Lake City, Utah
Containerized Waste Facility (CWF) Operations Manager: management of the operations personnel;
shipment schedule approvals; and ensuring activities were carried out efficiently and safely in accordance with
design specifications, quality assurance program requirements, and all applicable regulations.

Radiation Protection, Safety and Training Manager: During this period I held each of these facility-wide
roles separately. I started with responsibility for the NRC compliant radiation protection program.
Subsequently, I was given responsibility for the safety and health program as well as the employee training

readiness.
