• Instrumental in increasing company’s net worth from $20 mil. To $80 mil. in nine years.
• Spearheaded a joint venture with OSHA, (SHARP Program), resulting in being one of five companies in NC
selected to advance into OSHA’s ‘STARS’ Program. This accomplishment led to a positive, on-going
relationship with OSHA.
• Managed the company’s Worker’s Comp. Program through case managing each claim and returning the
employee back to work. This resulted in a 84% reduction in claims and a savings of over $106k.
• Addressed ergonomic issues with a 1.2mil. reengineering project for the facility. This resulted in doubling
production and eliminating the manual, laborious tasks of the job. This also aided in the reduction of injuries
and Worker’s Comp. claims.
• Labor costs were further reduced when I introduced the concept of a part time work force. The hourly wage
was reduced for a part-time individual and there was an elimination of benefit cost. This was a quarterly
savings of over 60k.
• Responsible for seven direct reports, which include four facilities in three separate states. There was an
average of 175 employees working at one time.
• Implemented an active Safety Committee, which ruled on employee injuries, avoidable or unavoidable.
• Coordinated the construction of building a new warehouse, which connected to the existing warehouse
through the usage of a tunnel system. This eliminated the need to store product off site and proved to be a cost
savings in labor and a reduction of damage to finished goods.
