Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL
Leads 600 Recruit Drill Commanders and staff in the training and
education of over 40,000 new recruits annually at the Navy's only
basic training command.
. Develops and implements operational policies and procedures to enhance
recruit training.
. Assumed leadership of a department manned at only 65% and immediately
began process improvements to maximize available resources.
. Developed a comprehensive operational analysis now used by higher
headquarters for recruit capacity, allowing senior decision makers to
adjust larger policies and goals in support of overall Navy manning.
Conducts weekly quantitative analysis to adjust recruit flow and

RECRUITING COMMANDING OFFICER (2011-2012)
Navy Recruiting District, Nashville, TN
Hand selected by Navy Recruiting Command to assume command on short
notice following the removal of senior leadership. Ranked #1 of 13
Eastern Region Commanding Officers.
Led 270 personnel geographically dispersed in 98 stations across seven
states in the recruitment of men and women for officer and enlistment
programs in the regular and reserve components of the U.S. Navy.
Developed plans, policies, and programs to achieve assigned monthly

. Though the District lagged in several mission areas upon arrival,
generated significant increases in efficiency and operations that
resulted in 100% goal attainment in all areas for the fiscal year.

applicants for enlistment into the Armed Forces in Florida, Georgia,

Led 100 personnel in the shipboard and classroom training and education
of Pacific Fleet based ships to maintain required states of afloat

. As the sole Cruise Missile Qualification Officer located in the Middle
Pacific, was the recognized expert for all Tomahawk cruise missile
operations and employment.

Led two divisions of 31 personnel in the employment and maintenance of
Tomahawk cruise missile and gunnery operations and equipment while
forward deployed to Haiti and the Mediterranean and Black Seas.
Collateral duties in ammunition logistics, command security, law
enforcement.
. Developed a new, innovative gunfire training plan utilizing the Global
Positioning System (GPS) that allowed the ship to conduct gunfire
training when no standard charts were available.
