Process Engineer/ Manager with extensive experience in semiconductor

processing and Thin Film sensor product lines. Proven problem solving

ability in developing new products and following production products and

systems, both commercial and military, through to successful deployment and

operation. Expertise includes extensive Implant, Thin Film, PECVD, Photo,

Wet and Dry etching,

Diffusion, Sputtering and evaporation. Successfully developed Thick and

Thin Film sensors.

Including Silicon pressure sensors, RTD's and Strain Gages.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Omega Engineering, Bridgeport, NJ 2002 - 2013

Thin Film Manager

Responsible for the start up of a Thin Film Sensor Division. Duties

included building a Class 10 Cleanroom and all plant support systems.

Define and develop a RTD and Strain Gage processes. Purchase equipment

through auctions at reduced costs. Design and qualify processes needed to

produce RTD and Strain Gage products. EG; Platinum Evaporation, RIE Quad

Etching, Oxide Sputtering and Photolithography.

. Planned and directed the expansion of a research and development

operation into full scale manufacturing. Capable of producing over 3

Million RTD elements and 1 Million Strain gage devices/Year, all

through the use of process automation and cycle time reduction.

. Responsible for all product designs and Mask generations.

. Instrumental in the creation of a backend assembly operation utilizing

dicing saws, wire bonders and automated testing for RTD's and Strain

Gage Product lines.

. Actively managed a staff of design engineers, maintenance technicians

and operators.

Process Engineering Manager (1998 - 2002)

Responsible for a team of engineers, network professionals and process

maintenance technicians that successfully ran a Photolithography and Plasma

etch area at over 95% yields.

. Senior Staff responsible for operational budgets of 1.8 M/Year.

Directly reporting to the president of the corporation.

. Responsible for 24-7 process engineering and maintenance support for

integrated circuit manufacturing operation.

. Successfully developed photo and etch processes for Dabic, BCD, CMOS,

Bipolar and Bimos devices.

. Coordinated efforts to receive and maintain QS900, ISO 9002 and Ford

Q1 certifications. Implemented FMEA's DOE's and 8D techniques to

resolve problems and maintain high customer satisfaction.

. Team lead for many cost down and continuous improvement projects with

an annual savings of over 500 K/Year.

Photolithography/Diffusion Cell Manager (1993 - 1998)

Managed Production/Engineering/Maintenance departments for Photolithography

and Diffusion Cells. Responsible for daily production indices while

maintaining budgets, product and line yields.

. Ramped production from 50% capacity to over 95% within 6 months while

maintaining over 97% yields.

. Developed Teams for problem solving and process control issues.

Resulting in cost savings of over 100 K/Year in product Yields.

Implemented work teams responsible for all production and budget

indices.

. Managed 220-person 24x7, five shift effort. Responsible for 24-7

semiconductor manufacturing operation.

Plasma Etch Process Engineer (1993 - 1998)

Responsible for engineering coverage of plasma etch area producing 3K to 4

K wafers a week.

. Developed program recipes for Plasma etching of aluminum, polysilicon,

nitrides and oxides for advanced CMOS, BICMOS, BCD, BIPOLAR and Dabic

Processes. Setup SPC for all Dry/Wet etch processes.

. Transferred Biploar and Bimos processes between internal fabs.

Diffusion/PECVD Process Engineer (1980 - 1988)

Served as a process engineer for a high volume semiconductor operation.

Maintained all engineering indices and installed and qualified new

equipment for a CMOS diffusion and CVD production line.

Decision Data Computer Corp., San Diego, CA/Horsham, PA 1973 - 1980

Field Service Engineer/Sales Rep (1976 - 1980)

Relocated to San Diego to manage a breach office with 3 field engineers and

a customer base of over 100 accounts. Provided sales and service to San

Diego County Computer systems.

Field Support Engineer (1973 - 1976)

Traveled to east coast branch offices and installed high speed printers and

add on memory products to IBM mainframe systems. Trained branch field

engineering on new systems on site.
