Career Summary:
During my career, I have had the opportunity to experience working with individuals from
various backgrounds. As a respiratory therapist, I was able to establish excellent communication
skills with physicians, nurses, support staff, and patients. My initial experience working as a
supervisor was as a respiratory therapist in a healthcare setting. During my experiences as a
psychology student/intern, I had the opportunity to learn about numerous therapies, techniques,
various cultures and participate on multidisciplinary teams. Throughout my graduate experience,
I had the opportunity to develop and participate in the role of a Clinical Director for a home
health company. Since I have completed my doctorate in psychology, I had the opportunity to
grow and develop as a forensic and clinical psychologist during my post-doctorate experience.
When the opportunity to be a Program Director V became available, I embraced the challenge.
Being a Program Director has provided me with the opportunity to use my strengths as a leader,
motivator, solution seeker, and program developer.

Provide leadership to professional including psychiatrists, nurse managers, psychologists, social
workers and rehabilitation services. I am the Program Director for the multiple disabilities unit in
a maximum-security facility. Our unit serves as the maximum-security program for the
intellectual disabilities population for the state of Texas. My duties include program development
supervision of professional staff, and overall function of the program. Currently, I manage over
eighty people. I am a member of the North Texas State Hospital core leadership committee,
which is developing the behavioral health initiative for recovery for our forensic population.
