2010 - Present: Dermatopathology Laboratory & QA Manager at NYU Langone
Medical Center. Responsible for the day to day Operations and Quality
Assurance of the Histology, Immunohistochemistry and Special stain

2009 - 2010: Anatomic Pathology Laboratory Operations Manager at NYU
Langone Medical Center. Responsible for the daily operations of the
Histology, Reno-pathology, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence
laboratories including all routine and special stains protocols. In charge
of technical personnel, monitoring, and evaluating the performance
including their yearly evaluations to determine merit salary increase.
Participating in the process of evaluating equipment for future acquisition
to improve laboratory operations. Planning and purchasing all laboratory
supplies according to available budget.
2008 - 2009: National Quality Assurance Manager of Histopathology at Quest
Diagnostics. Responsible for auditing, monitoring and reporting final
results of all Anatomic Histopathology and Dermatopathology Laboratories
countrywide for Quest Diagnostics to ensure compliance following the rules
and regulations of the official agencies such as CAP, CLIA, ASCO, etc.
2001 to 2008: Histology Laboratory Manager at the Ackerman Academy, a
state of the art private Laboratory in NY-NJ with a yearly specimen volume
of approximately 200.000 biopsies, including Surgical Pathology and
Dermatopathology specimens. Responsible for all Laboratory operations,
including routine, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. In charge
of personnel, QA QC, evaluations, budget planning, purchasing, testing,
justification and acquisition of new equipment. Planning, monitoring,
recording and evaluating the performance of more than 50 employees,
including their yearly evaluations to determine merit salary increase.
Interviewing, evaluating and selecting new applicants. Purchasing,
evaluation and cost analysis of new quotes for all laboratory supplies.
2000 - 2001: Histology Lead Technologist at Newark Beth Israel Medical
Center. Responsible for routine histology, immunohistochemistry and
immunofluorescence, including embedding, cutting, staining and
troubleshooting equipment.
Frozen sections and rush cases from the OR.
1996 - 2000: Histology Technician holding position of Autopsy
Technician at St. Joseph Medical Center. Responsible for all autopsies
(over 250 autopsies per year) and alternated grossing surgical specimens.
Responsible for the histology of all autopsy cases including embedding,
cutting and staining. Alternating surgical pathology cases among many other
laboratory duties. Active member in the bereavement committee and other
activities for the hospital administration.
1986 - 1996: Assistant Manager at J. Rivera Inc. Responsible for
Operations, Administration and conducting funeral arrangements including
preparation and reconstruction cosmetics of human remains including
preparation of all legal documentation related to the cases. In charge of
organizing, coordinating and assisting in all autopsies performed at the
facility.
1977 - 1985: General Administrative Manager at the University of the
Republic, Montevideo Uruguay. Responsible for all accounting, legal and
administrative duties including training and supervision of the
administrative personnel. Preparation, control and follow up of educational
programs. Preparation of national reports including funding, government
