Engineering Technologist 1

• Designed the confinement for the Non Destructive Laser Gas

Sampling being used at Y12 in Oak Ridge Tennessee.

• Performed the design and detail of Confinement Vessel Entry and

Exit doors used at the LANS DHART facility.

• Focused on the design and construction of a small powerful

actuator for a throwable jumping robot. Made extensive use of

PRO/E software, rapid prototyping, and wire EDM to construct a

complex miniature spring loaded linear actuator.

Sandia National Laboratory (Albuquerque NM 871**-****-****

Principal Technologist

• Utilized PDMLink 9.0 and WildFire 4.0, to perform migration of

assemblies and drawings from Intralink.

Created a new method in developing a paperless way of checking

drawings and store in them in iteration history in PDMLink 9.0.

Designed and Detailed satellite components and released drawings

using the IMS system. I mainly dealt with customers who had me

making changes daily to the RF-Tray and Optic assemblies and

Decryption assemblies.

Lead designer developing components for the W88-AF&F. Work

consisted of designing a new Terminal Protection Device.

Performed changes to W76-1 MK4A-JTA, mainly design changes

and GD&T modifications.

LANS (Los Alamos National Security, Los Alamos NM) 2008-

2009

components and assemblies.

• Performed critical designs to beam line assemblies used in the

Helicon Physics experiment.

Responsible for the design of mirror mounts used in neutron

scattering LEBT (Low Energy Beam Transfer).

Carried out heavy deadline of numerous designs for completion of

Hot Cell drawings in target area.

• Responsible for the design and fabrication of all PMP (Pit

Manufacturing Process) fixtures.

Performed Inspection data graphs and comparisons between spline

and nominal masses on all PIT shells, using a sophisticated

software developed internally within the group.

Acted as shop liaison for all components that were being fabricated

within, our in house machine shop and all the parts that were being

fabricated out of laboratory.

• Designed and detailed numerous Glove Boxes, for Savannah River

Site National Laboratory.

• Prepared drawings Using Pro/E Piping for generating P&ID’s at a

weapon’s facility in Los Alamos, NM.

Coherent Technologies (Boulder, Colorado 80303) 08/2000-01/2001:

Mechanical Designer

• Developed multiple mechanical engineering concepts for CAT

project, which were then utilized on B720 aircraft to determine

wind patterns in the atmosphere. CAT= (Circular Air Turbulence)

detection device.

Generated various ASME Y14.5M drawing layouts on Pro/E

2000i, for production of all parts that were released for

manufacturing at local and exterior machine shops.

Designed numerous components using Pro/E Cabling & Harness

module, for electrical harness projects and devices used in CTI

LIDAR experiments.

• Provided mechanical design support for the fabrication of all the

components and piece parts used to in all testing in Physics lab.

• Performed numerous installation of hardware for a variety of

division projects. Projects that I generated on Mechanical Desktop

3.0, were optical telescopes, gated x-ray imagers, neutron detectors

and laser diagnostics, all work obtained ASME Y14.5M-1994

Standards.

• Engineered and designed the development of piece parts used in

critical laser experiments, which involved University of Rochester

Omega laser facility.

• Supported a group of weapon engineers with my design

capabilities to achieve an award for safety design on a hot and

critical classified task that met its deadline.

Spearheaded the tooling responsibilities, on a project with various

laboratories that consisted of creating 3-D models for a

dismantlement project.

Designed several storage containers for classified assemblies that

were used at several DOE laboratories.

• Drafted as-builts for various government structures at LANL. The

importance of the as-built's was to provide the customer with well

defined quality product of the building and it was easier to pinpoint
