WORK EXPERIENCE
# West Regional Logistics Analyst
Interline Brands Inc - Jacksonville, FL - February 2011 to November 2012
o Responsible for routing all freight in and out of our regional replenishment center (RRC) in Salt Lake City
(SLC).
o The SLC RRC serviced 14 Distribution Centers directly, and would cross-dock inbound freight to the other
3 RRCs. This outbound volume averaged 25 to 30 truck load shipment per week.
o Produced and managed LTL RFP for service within the West Region (CO west ). This bid resulted in an
estimated $67,000 in cost avoidance during its first year.
* 9 Carriers participated
* All proposed contracts were evaluated using a rating system I built in SQL. The resulting analysis took less
than one day to complete
* This process made it easy to evaluate the impact of simple changes to each of the proposed tariff. This
allowed me to negotiate intuitively as I knew the true cost and savings potential.
o Developed and implemented Proof of Delivery (POD) system for fleet drivers
* Including all driver training and post training compliance measurements
* The million dollar ROI was achieved through a reduction in customer claims as result of accurate and timely
POD.
* The ROI was projected to take 12 months to achieve full return. We saw this return in the first 8 months.
* Developed and distributed all reports associated with POD
o Built and maintained departmental reports using of SQL and Microsoft Office.
* Many of the reports were sent directly to board members
# Transportation Analyst
Interline Brands Inc - Jacksonville, FL - August 2007 to February 2011
o Responsible for the management of a 10 million dollar Parcel budget
o Negotiated new UPS contract, the resulting cost avoidance during the first year, 2009, was 2.6 million dollars.
o Developed a parcel claims process that allowed for the recovery of an estimated $120,000 annually (this in
addition to all claims filed as a result of customer claims that met the minimum sales dollar threshold).
o Completed numerous parcel time studies, most notably, cost avoidance through package consolidation.
o Managed shipping location and mode assignment for all customers.
o Responsible for three cross-docks, including all aspects of their P&L's, staffing, safety, and productivity.
o Responsible for reporting and managing all driver KPI's.
o In conjunction with IT resources, developed new customer freight calculator which allowed for customer
freight to be quoted to the customer when entering their order.
