DESCRIPTION : Most of the industrial Electro Static Precipitators are feed by standard thyristors based high voltage power supplies. Due to the mains controlled thyristor switches, the control delay is in 10ms range. So to improve the efficiency and to decrease the control delay we are using fast switching semiconductor devices IGBT. So by IGBTs it is possible to design a inverter based high voltage power supplies for ESP.
