Dr. Theodore W. Berger, University of Southern California 2013-Present
Hardware design, Programming and Testing for Ultra-low Power Biomedical Application
• Responsibility includes to combine an electronic hardware and to program the interface between the boards and the computer to guarantee its
testability
• To designed an interface between the PCB board with the chip, a microprocessor chip and the computer
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Study of Effect of Transient Potassium Channel on the Action Potential of a Neuron: 2012
• MATLAB based simulation method for generating typical action potential of neuron cell and effect of transient potassium current channel on action
potential which makes significant changes in the spikes of action potential.
Study of Cerebellum as an Association Network: 2012
• Used Marr's theory of the cerebellum to study the functionality of the cerebellum.
• Implemented the cerebellum as an associative net through MATLAB coding to study the function of cerebellum.
Non-invasive Technique for Measurement of Electrical Activity of Stomach: 2011-2012
• Detected and analyzed the electrical signal of the stomach to diagnose various gastric disorders such as Bradygastria, Tachygastria, dyspepsia, Nausea,
Vomiting, etc.
• Recorded the electrical signals that travel through the muscles of the stomach and controls the muscle’s contraction using electrical circuit.
• Analyzed the signal to diagnose various gastric disorders using FFT in MATLAB.
• Developed user interface tool using VB.NET and MySQL for saving the data of patients.
Obstacle Avoiding Robot: 2010
• Designed an obstacle avoidance robot with artificial intelligence using 8051 microcontroller.
• Used an Infrared sensor which detects the presence of any obstacle in front of the robot.
