funding assistance by JBIC (presently JICA). Worked as Team Leader for

preparation of design and tender document for construction of 10 MLD Water

Treatment Plant at Gelephu, Bhutan financed by DANIDA. Worked as Project

Director/Team Leader for development of infrastructure like Water Supply,

Sewerage collection system, rehabilitation of existing sewage treatment

plant, development roads in three towns in Bhutan namely Thimpu,

Phuentshiling and Dagana, the project funded by ADB. Also participated in

International workshop of DFID for development of health condition by

improving the sanitation and water supply for economically weaker section

of societies in different parts of the World. Have been accepted as NRW

expert by ADB for undertaking TA Project for improvement of water supply in

the North East States of India.

management, monitoring of construction work and construction supervision,

testing & certification of materials & equipments to be used for

construction of projects. Inspection of equipments both mechanical &

electrical at the fabrication workshop, pumps of various capacities to be

provided for treatment plants, inspection of electrical control panels as

per technical specification, testing of materials both physical and

chemical analysis at laboratory, used for casting of valve body and valve

internal parts, supervision during casting to certify quality of the

materials used for casting as per specification of the item of work. Tasks

have also included certification of measurement of works after physical

verification of different items of work executed, preparation of

planning of diversion of flow arrangement of the existing sewer

line prior to undertaking de-silting of the existing man-entry

brick sewers including stanching arrangement and location of

access pit. Review of the structural design of the Type II GRP

panels of circular or ovoid shape in accordance to the

stipulation made in WRC manual - check for thickness of the GRP

panels, flexural modulus and bending stress to withstand the live

load and equivalent hydraulic load depending on cover depth of

the panels and recommend for approval to the client. The work

being executed by International Contractor namely M/s Michel Bau

of Germany and M/s Angerlehner of Austria under Global contract.

The value of project is more than Rs. 200.00 Crores.

The diameter of the sewers varying from1650 mm diameter to 3050 mm

diameter of length nearly

8.5 KM. Management of construction of

rehabilitation work including monitoring of day to day

progress of project work executed by contractor,

for undertaking de-silting of existing sewers, local

repairing of inside surface of sewers, conduct

CCTV after de-silting to access the condition of the

sewer line, check physical dimension of the sewer

line, conduct CCTV to assess extent of local

repairing and location of existing branch

connection with the trunk sewer, lowering of GRP panels,

alignment & fixing of panels, grouting of

outside periphery of the GRP panels to fill up the void in

between existing brick sewer and the panel and
