This project is more about upgrading the R/3 4.6C system to SAP ECC 6.0,
this upgrade has many phases as the system is highly customized for
specific to SIMENS Business operations like CIP2SAP add-ons. We have
successfully upgraded sandbox system from R/3 4.6C to SAP ECC6. Another
Phase is to convert these non-Unicode systems to Unicode systems, Planned
as upgrade SAPECC6 first phase and start with Unicode Conversion expected
to complete in March 2013.
These systems running on IBM AIX with DB2 DB6 database, all are standalone
systems without Cluster, However for Server failures a unique process
called OSR is designed and architecture by Siemens Healthcare Team for
uninterrupted Business operations.

AIX, presently we are migrating these app servers to RedHat LINUX. We have

JNJ is the biggest pharmaceutical company and we give L2 level SAP BASIS
support to EMEA region. We support to multiple projects of JNJ which
includes Europe 2, Galaxy, Symphony, Shaping the Future, Bio-BARN...etc
All systems are under cluster environment and configured on HP superdome
server SD64A. One of the biggest environments with more than 120 SAP
systems, and each superdome have around 7 to 10 SAP system and respective
Databases on a single operating systems.
JNJ's Project SHAPING THE FUTURE has migrated some of the servers to Linux
GNU SLES-9, with app severs running on LINUX, and database & ASCS services
running on HPUNIX.
Cluster architecture is designed in such a way that when fail-over happen
the production SAP system and Database will Switch-Over to development and
quality system's superdome.
We give L2 level SAP BASIS support which includes coordinating with System
Owners, End User, Project team and WISE Team for system related issues,
Preparing ICLs (Installation Check List), Quarterly SOX auditing of all

has been configured in a high availability environment with DB instance
