MINI PROJECT:
Title : Simulation of Damper control system used in Power plants
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A Gas Turbine is an internal combustion engine that extracts energy from a flow of gas,
commonly used in power plants .The essential component which facilitates for this made
changes is diverter damper. Damper is a valve or plate that stops or diverts or regulates the flow
of air inside a chimney (simple cycle mode) & boiler (combined cycle mode). This damper
diverter mechanism, enable alternative use of single- or combined cycle system, related with heat
recovery steam generator, thus increasing the flexibility of power plants. The intension of this
project to project the fact that by introducing a back-up seal air fan, there will be large savings in
the plant revenue through sample figures and prevent any power plant outages.
MAIN PROJECT:
Title : A Proposed Method for Image Retrieval using Histogram values
and Texture Descriptor Analysis
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Content-based image retrieval (CBIR) techniques, based on the low-level image content features,
enable a powerful approach in retrieving images.In the present work for CBIR system, the image
feature descriptors including color descriptors and texture descriptors are used to represent low-
level image features.The standard Wavelet and Gabor wavelet transforms are used for
decomposing the image into sub-bands. The retrieval results obtained by applying color
histogram (CH) and Gabor wavelet transform(GWT) simultaneously to a 1000 image database
demonstrated significant improvement in precision and recall, compared to the color histogram
(CH), wavelet transform (WT), wavelet transform and color histogram simultaneously and
Gabor wavelet transform (GWT).
