the paper.
Total cold calling and up against a weekly paper that already existed in the city of Forest Grove.
Became adept at using spec ads and very creative layouts to get my foot in the door.
I also would convince a business to let me come work for them (unpaid of course) on a Saturday so that I
could learn more about them. It really helped me to sell additional advertising and be a true partner to their
business. Did such jobs as fashion, lumber sales, electrical and video stores. A great learning experience
for me and showed businesses that I was willing to go the extra mile.
