Objective: To design and fabricate eco-friendly sand dryer to dry 10kg moist sand per day to replace previous, slower drying methods.

Analyzed current sand drying methods to identify inefficiencies
Analyzed solar cooker technology to identify feasibility for this application
Designed a drying chamber with adjustable reflectors at the left and right bottom side of drying chamber of varying height and positioning according to sun location
Used solid edge software for 2D draft and then fabricated the sand dryer
Results showed that the solar dryer has more efficiency then the previous methods
