HIGHLIGHTED COURSEWORK
Residential Practicum
A yearlong course that worked closely with Oakwood Homes in Denver, CO to build a Net-Zero
house. The class was split into three groups: Marketing, Accounting/Finance and Construction
Administration. I worked alongside members of the Marketing Group to research potential buyers,
identify buyer preferences (surveys), develop public relations plan (advertising) and develop a
sales plan.
2011 Residential Construction Management Competition
Competition gave students the opportunity to apply skills learned in the classroom to a real estate
company. Students were asked to complete and present a management project/proposal to
investors. As the leader of the Construction Administration Group, I was responsible for
identifying licensing requirements, estimating construction costs and developing a construction
schedule.
