Job Description:
Provide care for a 72 yrs. old bedridden patient with diagnosis of aspiration pneumonia
and epilepsy with tracheostomy and NGT
Responsibilities:
Giving proper hygiene and grooming;
o Changing diapers
o Complete bed bath, sponge bath
o Brushing the teeth
Changing position every 2 hours
Giving medication per Doctor’s order
o Subcutaneous injection
o Intramuscular injection
o Per NGT
o Per rectum
o Topical administration
Cleaning the tracheostomy stoma using sterile technique
Assiting the ENT doctor in changing the tracheostomy tube and nasogastric tube
every 6 weeks
Rendering wound care and first aid if necessary
Giving food via nasogastric tube
