MOST RECENT

BUSINESS I most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of a non profit organization in

EXPERIENCES Marietta, GA., Second Wind Dreams. During my first year I conducted a complete

reorganization of the struggling non profit. The organization is now well

established with policies, procedures and controls well in place. I resigned my

position effective June 1, 2013 to seek other opportunities and challenges.

2011 2012

I served as Executive Director of Emeritus Senior Living in Decatur, GA., a

Dementia Care only Community with 60 rooms. I initiated a significant

stabilization of the community; occupancy grew from 60% to 100% and remained

there for 3 consecutive months prior to my departure. Management staff and core

staff were stabilized and resident family members experienced a significant

change in the overall environment from negative to visibly positive.

2010 2011

I served as Interim Administrator of Saint Anne’s Terrace, an Independent Senior

Living Residence in north Atlanta. In this role I worked to stabilize the operations

financially by providing a significant cost savings in expenses. Operationally I

stabilized the full staff and reorganized administration for efficiencies. Most

importantly, I created a renewed culture of caring and community for Senior

Living Resident and family’s satisfaction along with their families within the first

3 months.

1982–2008 Executive Adventure, Inc. Owner Atlanta, GA

A significant business achievement was the creation of Executive Adventure, Inc.,

an international leadership and team development company with a client base of

over 1,000 highly satisfied client organizations. I delivered or directed an excess

of 5,000 training sessions including over 100,000 employee participants from first

line managers to directors and CEOs. Over the 27 years I developed and provided

courses to organizations located throughout the US, Canada, Japan, Korea,

Europe and South America. The client list includes many Fortune 100

corporations as well as government, educational and non profits. Along with my

staff of 18 full time employees and over 75 contracted facilitators and

consultants, I have led sessions including first level management to Officers &

Directors and CEOs.

As the leader of the wholly owned corporation, I implemented management

systems and established a high performing team dedicated to integrity and trust. I

have also been acknowledged in various media such as; WSB TV, CNN, Atlanta

Constitution, Atlanta Magazine, Delta Sky Magazine and most recently Time

Magazine.

I am a certified instructor in 3 Personal Styles Inventory Instruments. MBTI. HBDI

& Firo B and personally educated over 200 facilitators.

EXPERIENCE In 1973 I started an Independent Insurance Agency with $500.00 Capital at age

23 and grew the Agency to operations of 4.1 million in premium volume and

physical operations in 8 states with fully staffed offices in 3 States and 18 full

time employees. I then sold the Agency to a leading Property & Casualty

Insurance Carrier in 1981.
