Description of most recent Post & Duties
I was part of an assembly team building the Flaperon flight control surfaces for the Boeing 787 aircraft. At all times I followed the computerized manufacturing execution system; to ensure all assembly operations were carried out to the Boeing quality requirements, and to the customer drawings and specifications. I maintained tool calibration, part traceability and computerized record keeping. Assembly tasks involved; use of measuring instruments, hole preparation, foreign object control, fastener installation, application of sealants, chemical conversion coatings and paints, safety wiring of fasteners, torque loading, solid shimming and the application of mouldable plastic shim. I adhered to all occupational health and safety requirements, at all times to ensure a safe working environment, for myself and my other team members.
