To the Managing Director,
My career experience and qualifications using software for design drafting
and illustration purposes has lead me towards producing various
documentation for the construction industry and also private clients. My
skills can be described as jack of all trades in relation to layout and
illustrations being created using software tools to fulfil client
requirements and to resolve technical design issues. I have certainly
chosen one of the best career paths with such variety involved from one
project to the next. Recent employment as teacher training software to
students is highly rewarding and the course is inviting to all
participating students as I can provide my work experience combined with
software training.
My reason to apply for the attached position: I require fulltime employment
or part time hours as my current position does not exceed more than two day
training sessions per week therefore I am available to work immediately.
My ability to easily communicate with the customer's needs or deal with
specific client expectations to problem solve achieves the correct results
for the client and aids all involved with contract obligations with
professional workmanship. My background experience as Roofing Operative to
Sales Consultant to Installation Supervisor and 2d/3d Cad
Designer/illustrator followed by Project Managing, Survey Drafter and now
Teaching which has given me the opportunity to develop a variety of skills
and follow a professional and varied career path.
Illustrative and technical software experience is my strength. Having the
ability to create and get paid is highly rewarding and contracts are always
around the next corner.
Providing an overall visual understanding for a customer is my aim and
answering any queries that may need to be addressed is crucial for everyone
not just the client.
I hope to follow my career path and I expect good things will happen if my
career path leans towards drafting, designing or making illustrations as I
intend to continue towards higher expectations in this design field. I
classify myself as a hard worker and thrive toward building good
friendships. I work extremely well within team environments and being
involved with project demands with deadlines. I can adapt to new
environments quickly and hit the ground running. I am very quick to learn
and keep myself motivated during working hours and outside work too. From
my experience in construction I have developed various organisational
skills, I am a reliable and honest person and have a good track record for
time keeping, as I always say 'If you are not going to be on time, be
early'
I hope to be successful for interview stage as I will appreciate the
opportunity to meet you and find out more about your company in person.
Kind regards,
Derek Phinn
