Partnered with CEO and performed those CFO duties set forth under Core Qualifications. Was hired to bring
the accounting system and policies and procedures into compliance with FAR Parts 30 & 31, negotiated
company overhead rates with DCAA, and revamped the company’s contract administration procedures,
and spearheaded DCAA audits of prior DOD contracts & subcontracts.
Selected Achievements:
• Successfully upgraded the company’s accounting system (a construction platform) to a DCAA approved
accounting platform, Deltek;
• Managed DCAA audit of numerous DOD prime and subcontracts, saving the company $1.0 million dollars
in fines, penalties, and overpayments, by utilizing general contract rules as well as the FAR/DFARs;
• Trained a controller and accounting and contract administration staff in proper accounting and contract
administration rules pursuant to the FAR/DFARs, allowing such employees to handle the amount of
business the company was doing at that time.
After successfully resolving all major issues, it was determined the company did not need a full time CFO and
therefore, left after being recruited to manage a large health care conglomerate turnaround. Continued
consulting with company’s CEO and Controller until returning in 1989.

After the current CEO suffered certain medical issues, the Board of Directors promoted the CFO to CEO,
whereby he was mandated to perform CEO duties, continue managing the Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, and
look for buyers for the different divisions and the LTHC Division. Left after the company and all wholly
owned subsidiaries were sold.
SVP Administration & Finance/Chief Financial Officer (1987-1988)
Partnered with the CEO, directed accounting, finance, HR, and administration. Was hired to lead a business
turnaround of a multinational long-term health care conglomerate. Directed accounting, finance, HR,
Administration, of over 150 staff members located throughout the U.S. (approximately 30 States),
encompassing CFO duties. The company managed 32 long-term health care facilities in over 12
different states. Company was also involved in oil and gas PTP’s, gold mines, real estate development,
restaurant and night clubs, and art galleries located in the US and Canada.
Selected Achievements:
• Successful in selling all divisions as well as the LTHC Division of Van Dyke Health Care Management
• Managed the media from various states as well as the Wall Street Journal and USA Today, who was closely
watching the outcome of the 3rd largest long-term health care conglomerate.
• Successfully lead turn around by negotiating with over 1,200 vendors as well as major investors to allow
the company to enter into a Chapter 11 Reorganization;
• Instrumental in developing the Chapter 11 Reorganization Plan that was accepted by the courts and later
resulted in the core business being sold along with all other divisions, ultimately leading to the all
investors and vendors at a minimum returning their capital or recognizing a profit.
