Responsible for controlling water treatment plant machines and equipment used to
purify and clarify water for human consumption and for industrial use through the
process of Reverse Osmosis.
Operate and control electric motors, pumps and valves to regulate the flow of water
into the treatment plant.
Apply specified amounts of chemicals into the water and adjust the automatic
devices that admit specified amounts of chemicals into tanks to disinfect,
deodorize and clarify water.
Manipulate valves to regulate water through filter beds to remove impurities, read
gauges, monitor operating panel boards and adjust controls to regulate the flow
rates and distribution of water.
Repair and lubricate machines arid equipment, gather and test water samples and
record data such as
residual content of chemicals and water pressure.
Clean tanks and filter beds, change out filters and RO membranes as required.
