ACADEMIC PROJECTS AND SEMINARS

> Automatic Curtain Raiser with Intruder Detection,2011

A value-added project for automating our homes. The

device senses sun light and opens the curtain. There is also an added

feature for detection of unwanted intruders and sounds an alarm. It

was selected as one of the top 10 projects from AE&I department during

the exhibition, Saviskara, 2011.

> Synthetic Talking Face,2011

A seminar on speech driven synthetic face that

supports the hearing impaired people in tele-communication with help

of lip-synchronizing effect. It also helps the normal users in

communication when there is data loss during transmission.

> Mobile mini robot for in-pipe inspection tasks,2012

A project on PC controlled wireless robot to check for

cracks or damages within pipe interiors, which are inaccessible for

humans. The attached gas sensor module checks for any

harmful gas leakage into the pipe and warns the user if found any.
