. Post Press Department:-Optimised machine efficiencies, improved
performance, developed staffs skills set and applied best practises
to all teams in a underperforming department, resulting in a
complete turnaround of performance results against organisational
KPI's
. Improved weekend average product finish times to fall in line with
customer expectations and reduced costs of late runs to the
organisation by 17,000 per month.
. Reduced major title waste (Daily Mirror Waste from 5% to 4 Sunday
Mirror from 4% to 2 Sunday People from 3% to 1%) all measured on
KPI's saving over 1 million PA

feedback process to our suppliers. Our supplier was not aware of our
issues until I tracked the deliveries and this resulted in a
contract tender.
. Undertook Vendor Management project auditing supplier's haulers and
warehouses. Highlighted issues and concerns that we found resulting
in suppliers changing process.
. Performed a full range of HR actions including performance reviews,
absence management, disciplinary and redundancy selection. This
resulted in the department having the lowest absence in the plant.
. Pressroom-Identified areas for poor product performance
formulated/delivered recovery plans, securing contracts seen as
being at risk by developing standards and best practises.
. Took hands-on approach in production runs working closely with
operatives resolving long term issues resulting in increased
performance and open opportunities for new product slots.
. Stores-Present Project already reduced holding stock, improved
procurement, reduced annual spend from 2 million to 1.8 Million
(linked stores to PDR's)
. Standardised and streamlines stores, reduced stock taking times by
80% and increased regularity to monthly stock takes rather than
