EXPERIENCE
I Have Been an LPN since graduating in 1986, I worked in Geriatrics. I have
experience as a Charge Nurse in nursing homes and as a Visiting Nurse
working with patients after they were discharged home from the Hospital. I
have also been a Private Duty Nurse for many clients. I was trained to do
patient and Nurse Scheduling on the computer when I worked in Home Health
as a Visiting Nurse. I also was trained to case manage under the
supervision of an RN Case Manager.

many different disease processes as well as prevention of diseases and
prevention of accidental falls and injuries. I documented my visits, and
notified the physician of any changes in patient's condition. I also
discharged patients when they meet the goals set by the medical team. I

I visited patients in their homes after they were discharged from the
hospital, per physician orders. I followed Medicare and Private Insurance
guidelines and was careful to follow nursing protocol. I was responsible
for wound care and patient assessment, contacting the physician when needed
and contacting the physician for orders. I also did patient teaching;
administered medications, monitored glucose on diabetic patients via finger
stick and gave SUB Q and IM injections per MD orders, and monitored and
supervised the care given by CNA's and HHA's. I reported to the RN case
manager, and I was also given a small number of cases that I managed myself
under the supervision of the RN supervisor. I visited up to 8 patients per
day.
I followed physician's orders, charted my patient's progress and reported
to the physician as needed.
I was also trained to do nurse scheduling in the office and relieved the
nurse scheduler when she was ill or went on vacation in the office.

I wrote creative content for his web site and his web commercials and
solicited new business. I created business cards, flyers and
advertisements, and sent them out to prospective clients via email or
regular mail. I also created and currently monitor our Twitter account. I
wrote company advertisements, make contact with potential business clients,
created web commercial scripts for his clients, and helped with creative
content. I also help him occasionally as needed with professional
videography. He continues to do videography in his Ministry.

I was the founder, Executive Director and Coordinator for The Manna
Project. It is a food distribution program run from the River of Life
Church in Merritt Island, Fl. I was in charge of soliciting donations,
grants and funding to continue to purchase food. I also did the purchasing
and monitored the food pick up and distribution, as well as all the
paperwork involved. I was in charge of quality control and the purchase and
set up of food storage. I also monitored and trained 19 volunteers, and
also set up fundraisers and wrote and submitted all the media press
releases.
We were open to the public one day each week, and we helped feed up to 280
families that were in need of food each week. We distributed 4 days of
quality foods to feed an average family of 5 each week
Additional Experience
I also was trained to do patient chart reviews per Private Insurance and
Medicare Guidelines, and also visited clients in their homes as a Home
Health Nurse. I worked as a night shift supervisor in a nursing home for 4
years after graduating from nursing school. I also worked in agencies that
sent me to work as a temp fill in LPN in a Rehabilitation center, and
several geriatric facilities. I have also worked as a Private Duty Nurse
over the years for several high profile families.
Prior to becoming a nurse, I was a licensed Insurance Sales person. I am
very comfortable speaking to people and I am detail oriented and honest.
I am also a published writer and I have worked as a contributing writer and
photographer for a daily newspaper for 3 years.
