EXPERIENCE
THINK 2 BUILD LLC. San Francisco, CA
Mechanical Design and Prototyping Intern Summer 2008
•Designed and completed implementation of a prototyping lab used in manufacture of products featured in Popular Science, NBC’s The Office, and Inc 500’s 7 New Technology Marvels.
Refurbishing and installing of lathes, CNC mills, laser cutters, and other instruments.
• Managed the design, fabrication and testing of medical devices
• Prototyped line of ergonomic furniture for a client company called steel case. The furniture line won 2gold awards at the 2009 Neocon.
• Engineered manufacture of functional and aesthetic lab furniture, including a large array of storage units with custom sliding doors, a large hardware organizer unit, and a very large dry-erase board with sliding panels for a conference room.
Independent Design Contractor 2011-2013
• Designed and built many things during personal and client residential remodels including storm sandy related projects. Learned and implemented remodel process single handedly.
• Systematically acquired one trade after the other including many of the fine wood working trades used in high end construction/remodeling and furniture design and refurbishment. Read more in design portfolio
