improving the productivity of that fleet and outside
carrier partner relationships. Managed $30 million annual
departmental spend. Implemented fuel surcharge program and
also lowered inbound rates to asphalt plants by 4-6% for
2012. Managed acquisition, installation and implementation
of company truck satellite safety & productivity devices.
Supervised and led productivity of direct reports at
multiple company locations. Department operated at a
$500,000 improvement in 2012 over previous year. Reported
to President. Position was eliminated in company
restructuring.

of all inbound and outbound freight. Had one direct report

Co-Founder of start-up flatbed carrier & third-party
logistics provider. Company operated leased equipment under
its own operating authority and represented several motor
carriers as a commissioned sales representative. Company
also operated as a freight broker. Personally responsible
for administration, sales & marketing, safety & compliance
account receivable and accounts payable. Managed and led
staff of five as direct reports. Left company to join
Smithway Motor Xpress as Director of Regional Sales and
company was later sold.

Full P&L responsibility. Directed staff of ten at Sales /
Operations headquarters. Worked with fellow executive level
managers of Parent Corporation, J&M Tank Lines, to ensure
best utilization of company resources. Revenue for 1997 was
$10.6 million, up 22% from prior year. Projected final 1998
revenues were $12 million. Carrier power units were
comprised almost exclusively of independent contractors,
although ten company units were added in middle of 1998. A
mix of company accounts, agency relationships, and a third-
party logistics operation fostered growth. Reported
directly to Owner of parent company. Was officer of parent
company and member of corporate executive management team.
