Provided support as the II MEF VTC Engineer. I provide Operator/Maintainer, Technical, Scheduling, and

troubleshooting support. We use TANDBERG 1000, 1700, and 6000 VTC systems as well as POLYCOM

systems. We utilize H.323 protocols on both the SIPR and NATO Secret networks. I also work and

coordinate with our local and distant end VTC bridges around the DoD world to make our connections

Was assigned to MNFI (IZ) CIS VTC HUB supporting the Coalition Forces as their Video Teleconference

Technician. I provided system hardware and software support and sustainment of all VTC suites;

Polycom, Tandberg and Aretha VTC utilized by the MNF-I and MNC-I commands. I was r esponsible for

the operation of a variety of complex electronic communication equipment and devices that is part of the

overall Defense Systems Network (DISN) environment, using IP, Microwave, ISDN and Satellite

connectivity . I provided hands on experience of the configuration and administration of all the VTC

suites currently in use, which include Microsoft Share Point server and Active Directory, identifying and

resolving hardware and software malfunctions, implementing software updates and security and/or

operating system patches/updates and other system administration functions as well as interaction with

local and enterprise help desk and trouble ticket systems, and reachback technical support/development

engineers. I Performed technical tasks consisting of system integration, diagnostic testing and repair,

Assigned to the MNFI-C6 as their VTC technican. I was responsible for the operation of a variety of

complex electronic communication equipment and devices that is part of the overall Defense Systems

Network (DISN) environment. Operated and maintained the Aethra CODEC system. Perform technical

tasks consisting of system integration, diagnostic testing and repair, calibration, installation,

configuration, operation and upgrade of sensitive, unique, complex, one-of-a-kind, classified,

compartmented, US command, control, communications, computer and intelligence (C4I) systems

consisting of VTC- oriented Collateral C2 systems, various one-of-a-kind classified systems such as

SIPRNET in support of the US Military Mission. Utilized VOIP as needed or necessary.

Insured the surety of the systems and materials and performed the technical encryption by installation,

operation, configuration, synchronization diagnostic testing and repair of sensitive, complex, US-only

encryption devices consisting of KG-94A/194A and KIV-7/19. Performed the complex technical tasks

associated with the above C4I systems with minimal guidance and technical oversight. Provided technical
