Profile

Drilling and completions consultant, strong in management of drilling rigs and services. Management of

onshore and offshore rigs in the North Sea, Africa, Middle East and Caspian Sea. Responsible for all

forms of drilling including exploration, multi-lateral, MPD, ERD, horizontal, H2S and deep gas wells.

Experienced in automated, semi-automated, joy-stick and top-drive rigs. Experienced in shipyard rig

construction, start-up and commissioning projects. Directed and participated in innovation studies and

technical support groups. Multi-national team player.

Drilling deviated SIMOPS and H2S oil & gas wells in a remote region.

• Daily drilling and workover operations and logistics

• Planning and execution of onshore wells for the GKPI Shaikan field, with

high (20% - 40%) H2S content, drilling project in zero discharge

environment

Supervising the offshore jack-up and semi-sub rigs in the Mediterranean Sea.

Drilling deviated SIMOPS and MPD, HPHT gas wells on platforms and exploration

wells using the semi-sub rig Scarabeo 4.

Jan 2002 – Jun 2005 Saudi Aramco - Saudi Arabia

Consultant Drilling & Completions Supervisor

Worked on a range of desert drilling land rigs. Wells were in excess of

22,000’ft with H2S presence. SAP (Landmark) reporting & ordering system.

Responsible for:

• Daily drilling operations and logistics

• Planning and execution of onshore wells for Aramco’s deep gas drilling

Ghazal field project

• Dual horizontal wells with open-hole slotted liner completions

• Mud weight up to 20 ppg with HPHT in pay zones

Base manager for a range of desert drilling landrigs. Responsible for:

• Daily operations

Manager for the offshore Chirag platform rig in the Caspian Sea on contract to

the BP led AIOC group. Tasks included:

• Drilling ERD wells and managing associated services including well-

engineering services, production services and training of national

manpower

• Providing well-engineering services, project management and

consultants to a range of Middle East and Asian based clients including

PDO, Occidental, BP-Aramco, QatarGas, Aramco, Conoco, Hardy Oil,

Suez. Additional responsibility for 2 2000Hp land rigs operating for Al-Furat in

the Syrian desert. Tasks included:

• Development of operations manuals for onshore and offshore rigs

upgrading of rigs to TD systems

• Installation and commissioning of semi-automated systems
