Nature of Work:-
Welding:
. Monitoring Before, during and after Welding; selecting NDT to ensure
the quality of welding in process and repair of welding.
. Closely monitoring the welder individual performance. Strictly
implementing the WPS & PQR instructions and maintaining parameters
reports. Monitoring and controlling the repair percentage of each
welder.
. Coordinating with clients / consultants while the inspection is being
carried out and offer any clarifications as required.
. Reviewing the applicable instruments for inspection with valid
calibration certificates.
. Confirm repairs, re-testing and re-inspection in accordance with
specifications.
. Witnessing of Weld repair activities as per client approved WPS.
Piping:
. Material inspection includes Purchase order review, Incoming Material
condition, Grade, Heat Number and Heat Number transfer. Verification
of Material Test certificates with reference to standards and Supplier
Stamp. Monitoring of storage and handling of Welding consumables.
. Witness of alignment, orientation and dimensions of installed piping.
. Preparing and issuing the Non conformance report.
. Prepared and issued the punch list to construction for before/after
hydro test.
. Reinstatement carried out after hydro test.
. Making of Reinstatement Punch list and clearing the items.
. Witnessing of Bolt Torquing.
. Clearing of MCC (Mechanical Completion Certificate) items.
NDT & PWHT:
. Interpretation of radiographic films.
. Review of radiographic films, witnessing UT, MPI, DPI, Hardness, PWHT
and review of test reports.
. Monitoring the PWHT activities and maintaining the reports.
. Co ordination with client inspectors for NDT &PWHT inspection.
. Verify that all PMI materials, PWHT and Hardness test have been
performed as per specification.
Hydro-Testing:
. Reviewing the test pack and checked the limit as pr marked P&ID.
. Line walk down carried out with client.
. Prepared and issued the punch list to construction.
. Reviewing the hydro test chart, prepared the report and submission to
client.
. Verification of Mechanical completion Packages / Inspection Record
Books.
Documentation:
. Reviewing the approved quality plans, manuals, and scope of work to
perform the required inspection.
. Issue of Non- conformance reports & verification of
Corrective/Preventive action.
. .Prepare hydro test packages, line checks and punch listing.
. Welding/NDT consumables and other consumables test certificates are
reviewed.
. All the results of the inspections and tests are reported on a daily
basis and the reports are reviewed and approved to the applicable code
and to the customer specifications.
. Documentation- Preparation/Verification of Test Packages, as well as
Commissioning .
