Library, responsible for slide digitization projects, web page maintenance, HTML

branch supervision when scheduled. Initially employed as Gifts & Exchange Librarian,
responsible for all book/periodical donations and publication exchanges, contacts,
correspondence, processing, provisional cataloguing. Made collection development

catalogue and databases, web page design and HTML publishing for daily routines.
1995 - 1996 DAVID LUBIN MEMORIAL LIBRARY, FAO, ROME, ITALY
Worked on several assignments in highly automated environment (with various CD-ROM
and online databases, and the Internet). As Exchanges Librarian was in charge of exchange
of publications between FAO and international partners (duties included exchange serials
control). As Acquisitions Librarian, ordered books for Library (procedures included
bibliographic verification). As Reference Librarian provided bibliographic and information
service to FAO staff and visiting researchers in the field of agriculture and related subjects.
Responsible for preparation of bibliographies online for various requests from all over the
world.
1994 - 1995 NATO DEFENSE COLLEGE ROME, ITALY
Head of College Library, in charge of all library operations and staff. Introduced automation of
Periodical Room, including periodical databases on CD-ROMs and online through Internet.
Reorganized reference services, normalized cataloguing procedures according to AACR2, Dewey
Decimal Classification, and LC MARC format. Evaluated staff and library.

Member of 6 person supervising staff in Cataloguing Department, responsible for
application of Dewey Classification, training and development of cataloguers. Other duties
included participation in Department development through meetings and discussions,

Assistant Branch Manager. Supervised, trained, developed and evaluated staff. In absence
of Branch Manager, assumed responsibility for managing branch including collection
development, programming, writing reports, circulation, technical services and
maintenance. Member of “resource staff” responsible for training and development of other
staff in use of new DRA computer library system. From January 1991 until end of
employment at QBPL in April acted as Branch Manager.
1985 - 1987 Adult Services/Reference Librarian. Provided library service to community, including
reference assistance, bibliographic instruction, collection development and maintenance,
preparation of displays, book acquisition, processing reserves and interloans, using Gaylord
Computer Circulation System, supervision of clerical staff.

While student at library science graduate program of UW, worked part-time in campus
libraries: at Memorial Library as assistant to Slavic Bibliographer specializing in Polish and
Russian materials; at Library School Library as circulation desk librarian. In summer 1984
